Massive Hurricane Dora chewed into the northeast Florida coast with its outer winds 9/9 on a slanting course that forced 250 miles of South Atlantic seaboard to batten down for its 115-mile-an-hour fury. At Noon, EDT, the hurricane was located about 90 miles east-southeast of St. Augustine moving about 10 miles an hour on a course between west-northwest and northwest. Hurricane warnings have been extended northward to Charleston, S.C.
