Headaches for Silverman. Tommy Collins-Lauro Salas Fight Postponed a week from November 17 to 24 ... Salas asked for more time ... And that merely means more headaches for Promoter Sam Silverman, who went into the hospital today for a check-up ... Although he also will be ducking ticket hunters ... Everybody wanting good seats ... Which brings to mind the fact that Boston University alumni are hounding Viv Stout for good Maryland game tickets ... Blithely ignoring the fact that Vic sent broadsides during the spring and summer, requesting early ticket applications ... The letters, of course, were ignored ... And talking of check-ups, Joe Linsey of the Taunton track has gone out of town for a rest ... Undoubtedly can afford it, since Taunton wound up with an average of $222,000 a night, third highest of the Taunton history ... Conference tomorrow at the Parker House ... The Park Department football final will be played at Fenway Park on November 16 ... And instead of being for free, as in the past, will have a small admission charge ... With the money to go to the Nazareth Fund ... Looks as if the Saunders Post of South Boston and the Tornados of East Boston will be the finalists.
