Miami: Hurricane Betsy, second hurricane of the season, moved 8/30 with increasing intensity from the Caribbean into the open Atlantic. The hurricane carried winds of 80 miles and hour and was traveling North-Northwest at 12 miles per hour. The churning storm, which forced astronauts Cooper and Conrad to cut short their Gemini-5 space voyage, may be seeded by weathermen in order to sap her strength as she moves on her course up the Atlantic, as charted on UPI newsmap.
