Mrs. Deveny to stand trial

Mrs. Eleanor Deveny (right), 24-year-old mother of two children, sits in court today with her husband, Corp. John Deveny, awaiting the start of her preliminary hearing on charges of contributing to the delinquency of Ellsworth (Sonny) Wisecarver, 17, with whom she eloped recently. She was ordered to stand trial Dec. 18. Wisecarver took no notice of her, but she kept her eyes on him almost constantly during the five-minute proceedings.
