Mrs. Coretta King, widow of the late Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., and Rev. Ralph Abernathy speak to Poor People's Campaigners 5/30 at the base of the Lincoln statue in the Lincoln Memorial. A heavy downpour caused postponement of a memorial service for Dr. King on the steps of the shrine. Mrs. King was scheduled to narrate Aaron Copland's "Lincoln Portrait" with the Washington National Symphony.
