Memorandum in State Department Documents-- This is one of a batch of secret U.S. documents released by House Un-American Activities committee in connection with Red spy ring probe. Committee records say the above memorandum is in the handwriting of Alger Hiss, Former State department official and speaks of Britain's Battleship building plans in that critical year 18 months before World War II broke out. Much of the memo is unreadable in this copy.
