Kent, O.: Brig. General Robert H. Canterbury of the Ohio National guard addressed newsman 5/4 and announced a "proclamation of civil emergency" in the city, imposing an 8pm to 6am curfew. Four Kent State University students, including two coeds, were killed in a campus gun battle during a clash between National Guardsmen and 3000 rioting students.
