Kenneth Green

PFC Kenneth Green was on his way to work in the kitchen at his army base in Germany when someone intercepted him that the Captain wanted him. Green said, "I figured it meant that I was getting my second stripe because I had been expecting a promotion to Corporal." "But the Captain said he had some sad news for me," said Green. The sad news was that Green's 21-year-old wife and the 20-year-old woman who lived with her in the Green home had been slain. Mrs. Green and Martha Wampler were mysteriously slain 12/8 or 12/9 several hours apart. Green flew home on a 30-day emergency furlough 12/11. Green said he has had trouble trying to sleep since his talk with the Captain and "if they catch the guy who killed my wife I want to be there at his trial."
