Kansas City – A Tornado Begins and Ends – These pictures, taken by Richard Mason, A draftsman for an engineering firm, show the vicious funnel that dipped into the Overland Park (Kan.) housing development Tuesday, destroying or damaging about 50 homes with a loss estimated at more than $1,000,000. In top picture, the funnel begins to form, and to point towards the ground. In bottom picture the dark finger touches down.
