Hub Woman 30 Years in Judge's Post. The woman who pioneered in several legal fields, Mrs. Sadie Lipner Shulman, has just rounded out 30 years as judge of Dorchester District Court. She is the first woman to hold court in Boston, first to be appointed an ass't corporation counsel for the city, and first to head the B. U. Law School Alumni Assn. She established a scholarship fund to assist women students at the law school, and recently contributed $25,000 for a women's study and lounge in the proposed new law school building. Judge Shulman is secretary-treasurer of the Mass. Assn of Municipal District Court Judges, vice president of the Mass. Law Assn, a founder of the Boston Young Women's Hebrew Assn and first president of the Young Women's Hebrew Assns of New England. Married to Atty. Charles Shulman, a former state representative and assistant attorney general, she has a son, Herbert, and five grandchildren living in Tennessee.
