Judge Landis, Czar of the national Pastime, throwing out the first baseball at the opening of the World Series between the St. Louis Cardinals and the New York Yankees. At left is the distinguished British visitor, Field Marshal Viscount Allenby, who captured Palestine from the Turks, and who is the guest of the American Legion in this country.
