Bangor, Maine -- John M. Zerrillo, 23, (left) assistant instructor of economics at the University of Maine, is led from a courthouse after a dramatic confession in closed chambers to the death of his seven-week-old son. Mr. Zerrillo, charged with murder, was immediately released on bail and then re-arrested on a charge of manslaughter and committed to a mental institution for observation.
