John is found to be a woman

Sheriff's deputies today picked up John Martin Curtiss, 21 (left), on complaint of Von E. Waters. Waters charged that Curtiss eloped to Salt Lake City with his daughter, Ila Deane, 15 (right), and they were wed by a Justice of the Peace. Arresting sheriff's found that John Martin Curtiss, was in reality a woman, who told them her first name really was "John." Miss Curtiss obtained an annulment of the marriage last November.
