Bone, Muirhead, Sir, 1876-1953 · [ca. 1923–1924]
Near the intersection of Broadway and Madison Avenue, New York, an immense excavation has been made for the foundations of a new building; its walls are shored up, and a tall crane rises from a platform near the bottom of the pit. These buildings are now put in, and there is an approach to completeness all over the plate. The placard has been worked over with light vertical lines cancelling the inscription, of which traces can still be seen.
