Man the Pumps--an optimistic worker in sou' wester smokes a cigar as he mans a pump hoping to keep ahead of flood waters threatening to inundate the basement of a bank in the center of Weymouth Landing. between three and four feet of water covers the street and sidewalks as well as the adjacent stores. Steady rain overnight dropped nearly three inches of water in the area and more is forecast for the next 24 hours.
