Mrs. Joseph H. Couture, 58-year-old Waterville, Maine mother of twelve, congratulated by three of her daughters, (left to right) Mrs. George Grietzer of Johnson City, N.Y.; Mrs. John C. Walling of Pilot Point, Texas; and Miss Hilda Couture, after being named Maine's Mother of the Year. An active Catholic church worker, Mrs. Couture has participated in Mothers March, cancer and hospital organizational drives. Mrs. Couture will be guest of Gov. and Mrs. Edmund S. Muskie, May 16, when she will receive the 1955 award.
