Odessa, Tex.--Mack Herring, 17, who has been charged with the slaying of High School classmate Elizabeth Jean Williams, 17, is held by a juvenile officer at a stock pond where Herring directed police to the girl's body after he confessed to the murder. Herring said the girl came to him late 3/22 and asked him to kill her. According to Herring, she held a .12 gauge shotgun to her head while he pulled the trigger.
