The Old State House, Boston, Mass., Built 1713. "Here the loyal assemblies obeyed the Crown. Here the spirit of liberty was aroused and guided by the eloquent appeals and sagacious counsels of Otis, Adams, Quincy, Warren, Cushing, and Hancock. 'Here the child Independence was born'". Within its wall are the collections of the Bostonian Society which relate to the history of Boston.
