Lebanon – Trout Fishing – The Hard Way – Cold weather and heavy fog failed to dampen the spirits of these anglers as Missourians turned out by the scores Saturday for the opening of the trout season. Here they stand elbow-to-elbow to wet their lines in Bennett Spring Branch near here, where more than 1,100 fishermen showed up to try their luck in 31-degree temperatures. Many caught their limit of six in the opening 1/2 hour. Shortly afterward, one luckless angler observed, the fish retreated to keep from being stepped on.
