James P. Cronin, 29, of Boston, Mass., shields his face as he is led to the desk in West 30th Street police station, after he had walked up to a policeman on W. 34th Street last night, saying, "I think I have killed a woman." Then police found the body of red-haired Mrs. Jane Brazeau, 42, in her bottle-littered apartment -- just where Cronin said it would be. An autopsy today was to determine the cause of death of the woman. Meanwhile, Cronin was held on a charge of vagrancy pending the medical examiner's report.
