Looking like a collapsed doll house, the Veterans Administration hospital sows the effects of the rumbling earthquake that struck the Southern California area early 2/9, striking hardest in the northern San Fernando Valley area. Several deaths were reported as the three story building at the hospital collapsed, burying patients and hospital workers alike. Rescue workers worked feverishly throughout the day looking for casualties.
