Looking Into the Baseball Future-- Branch Rickey (left), president of the Brooklyn Dodgers, and Fred Saigh, owner of the St. Louis Cardinals, got together for dinner here last night and undoubtedly discussed some baseball deals. Shrewdly, though, they kept their secrets to themselves. All Rickey would say was, "Mr. Saigh has a surplus in pitching." Saigh countered with, "Mr. Rickey has a surplus in outfielders."
