Looking for the Right Applicant--Margaret Hansford and Joseph Delito thumb through 3500 applications of highly trained men and women applying for jobs at the office of the 128 Professional Service Center, in the heart of the country’s electronics industry Waltham, Mass. The center, operated by the Mass. Division of Employment Security, was set up a few months ago to help engineers and scientists out of work from sharp cutbacks in defense and aerospace spending. There are 1300 job openings on file, Center director Frank G. O’Hare says.
