The Last Water Hole. Cattle getting a welcoming drink at the "last water hole" in Minnow Creek, near Erick, Okla. The creek, nothing but a dry bed now, has only this one watering hole for livestock. Facing death in the drought that has seared Western Oklahoma, more than 500 head of cattle are being watered daily at this hole, fed by a small spring, but livestock raisers say the winter will be gone from it within a week unless heavy rains fall.
