Storm Aftermath--L. P. Engle, of Abilene, works to get his small tractor out of three feet of dust following the storm that hit the state of Kansas yesterday. At right can be seen the top soil blown into a ditch alongside the farmer's field. Engle had 160 acres of wheat before the storm but when it was over, his quarter section of land was bare. He said he'll plant row crops on the ruined land. Engle experienced similar dust storms in the 1930s.
