From "War Memories" catalog: All soldiers of the Army of the Potomac will remember Long Bridge. The sentinel on duty, and the sergeant of the guard ready to examine the pass, are vivid reminders of those "days that tried men's souls" when we "boys" tried to get over to Washington on a "French Pass" and got run into the guard house.
