A Landslide trapped this locomotive of an Illinois Central freight train near Ackerman, Miss. The huge engine plowed into the mass of earth on the track as the train rounded a curve. A hill prevented the engineer from seeing the dirt until it was too late to stop. The locomotive and four cars were derailed but nobody was hurt. Heavy rain caused the landslide.
