The birthday of our glorious Stars and Stripes was June 14, 1777. Upon that date the Continental Congress proclaimed its creation in a resolution which stated that the flag which was represent the United States of America, should consist of thirteen stripes, alternating red and white and thirteen white stars upon a blue field, one star for each of the original colonies.
