Lake Named After Roosevelt. This lake, two to three miles wide and 150 miles long, was named Franklin D. Roosevelt Lake, after the late President, by Secretary of the Interior Ickes yesterday. The lake was formed when Grand Coulee Dam was built across the Columbia River by the U. S. Bureau of Reclamation. It winds along the course of the Columbia through beautiful evergreen-wooded hills.
