Fire Drives Out Ex-Governor and Family-An early morning fire which did $3500 in damage to the home of former Gov. and Mrs. Maurice J. Tobin in Jamaica Plain was discovered by their eldest daughter, Helen Louise, 14, shown (left) with her sister, Carol Ann, 13, and her brother Maurice, Jr., 10. Carol Ann holds their new Kerry Blue terrier, Galty, who was found unhurt in the house after the fire. At right, Tobin inspects charred studding revealed by torn-out living room wall, indicating how far fire starting in cellar had spread up through walls.
