Know How and Youth-Gil Hodges, left, veteran New York Mets' first baseman, introduces Ted Schreiber, of Belle Harbor, N.Y., to the New York baseball scene at a press conference today in the offices of the Mets. Hodges, who missed most of last season because of knee trouble and the resultant surgery, hopes to be back in action next season. Schreiber, a student at St. John's University in New York, was a bonus signee by the Boston Red Sox. He is a second baseman. The Mets recently drafted him from Seattle of the Pacific Coast League.
