In Trial Run on English Channel-- The world's largest hovercraft, the Mountbatten- class SRN4, moves down the beach and onto the sea at Dover, England, today before trail two-way crossing of the English Channel. Tomorrow, Britain's Princess Margaret will officially inaugurate this regular cross-channel service between Dover and Boulogne, France. The SRN4 can make the crossing in 35 minutes with a load of 250 passengers and 30 cars.
