Klan Initiates--Masked men about to be initiated into the United Klans of America, Inc., face robed and masked Klansmen in a ceremony near Lithonia, Ga. The picture made by Kirk Wooster of the Atlanta Constitution and copyrighted by his paper, was taken during a ritual "naturalizing" 11 men as Klan members. Wooster and Constitution reporter Bill Shipp were told they were first "alien" newsmen to witness such ceremony.
