Queen of the National Cotton Picking Contest at Blytheville, Ark., is Miss Janice Bowles of Memphis, 18-year-old freshman at Memphis State College. Winner over a field of 21 entrants in the cotton queen contest, the five-foot seven-inch brownette was Tennessee's entry in the Miss Universe Contest last summer. The cotton queen wins a cotton wardrobe valued at $500.
