'Janet' Whirls To Recognition- Hurricane Janet, 10th tropical storm of the 1955 season, thundered across Windward Islands into the Caribbean Sea today with 115-mile winds about her center. Lashing Barbados this morning, storm was plotted on a westerly course, traveling with the trade winds. She is expected to turn to a northwest course, a heading pointing danger to Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic and hundreds of cities and towns en route.
