Kitchen Mechanics. Mrs. John Stamy Jr., checks on dinner cooking in the oven of the electric stove in the kitchen of the Stamy farm near Newville, Pa. Mrs. Stamy and her husband have electrified their farm to make it attractive to their four young sons as they grow up. Dozens of electrical appliances make work easy in the kitchen. Throughout the house more than 54 circuits handle current for all sorts of appliances. Electrical outlets are placed so that at no point is one more than six feet away, for convenient use.
