James Truslow Adams, the historian and critic of American life has recently returned from London where he is usually to be found when not in New York or Washington. His latest book The Epic of America which for some months has led the best sellers in non-fiction in the United States and has sold over 110.000 copies has just been published in England and is being translated into French for publication in Paris. The Adams Family and Mr. Adam’s volumes of essays have also been published abroad. After ten years’ service he has recently resigned as a member of the Pulitzer Jury, to which he was appointed after winning the Pulitzer Price with his Founding of New England.
