In medical treatment, the hallucinogenic drugs might have some promise in the treatment of alcoholics, terminal illness, psychiatric disorder and narcotics addiction. In the hands of the average citizen, who has no means of controlling the dosage, they can be an 8 to 10 hour trip within themselves which can range from the beautiful to the bizarre. One of the display boards used by the Department of Agriculture, shown in this photograph, illustrates the range and form of such drugs.
