Lie Detector Records Emotional Changes Here is a test graph of the lie detector that was used Wednesday in questioning Major Green before he had confessed to the murder of Mrs. Mary Robinson case in her Queens apartment. The lie detector, an electrical device, is the invention of the Rev. Walter G. Summers, head of the department of psychology of the Fordham Graduate School, who explained that emotional changes in the subject being questioned are indicated by variations in the graph.
