Librarians at San Francisco State College got an assist from more than 50 volunteers 1/19 in an effort to re-shelve thousands of books checked out by strikers and other dissidents at the trouble-plagued campus. The library is in a state of chaos as the result of daily "book-ins" by dissidents who check out huge numbers of books and immediately check them back in. In addition, thousands of books have been tossed on the floor, others have been moved to the wrong shelves and still more have been stolen.
