Liberty is seen dressed in a tunic and wearing the Phrygian cap. One knee rests on the clouds, and she rushes towards heaven. In one hand she holds her coat, which floats behind her, and with the other hand, she raises a torch. At the bottom of the composition, we can see the crest of a crenellated wall, and, in the distance, a city.
