Libertador Diamond New York - The Libertador (Liberator) Diamond, a perfect 155 karat stone, has been purchased for $200,000 by the diamond merchant firm of Harry Winston, Ind., of New York. The gem was found in Venezuela last year and is the largest diamond ever discovered in that country. The stone was shipped to New York recently by air mail at a cost of forty cents. This photo shows a comparison with a large diamond ring, and the box (rear) in which it was shipped.
