Joseph Alvey, 41, a resident of Miami's 50-cents-a-night flophouses, pulls his camp down over his face as he is escorted into court to answer a kidnap charge. He is accused of kidnapping Michael Condetti, 7, of Washington, D.C., whose partially nude body was found in a wooded area near Ardmore, Md., Nov. 17, 1960. Alvey will be returned to Baltimore for trial. At left is federal judge David W. Dyer.
