Howard 'Buddy' Jacobson, former racehorse trainer and owner, is pictured with cover girl Melanie Cain in this 1976 photo. Jacobson is charged with murdering businessman John Topper who lived with Miss Cain, Jacobson's former girlfriend. They all lived in the same apartment building owned by Jacobson.
