Hurricane Gladys hovered off the eastern seaboard 9/20 with winds up to 90 miles per hour. At 11 A.M. (EST) Gladys was centered about 550 miles southeast of Cape Hatteras, N.C., and 350 miles southwest of Bermuda, The hurricane 1s moving northward rather slowly at 7 miles per hour and is expected to continue this movement for the next 12 hours.
