Hurricane Edith on the Move--Cross locates approximate position of Hurricane Edith today with arrow indicating its present course. Weather Bureau station in San Juan, Puerto Rico, said the hurricane at 5AM, EST, was centered 35 statute miles west southwest of Martinique, Lesser Antilles, and 420 statute miles southeast of San Juan. It was moving toward the west-northwest at 14 miles an hour.
