Hurricane Alma, the first twister of the 1966 tropical storm season, is spotted on this UPI newsmap. The U.S. Weather Bureau said that Alma was headed on a north-northeast course that would bring hurricane-force winds to the Isle of Pines and the southwest coast of Cuba.
