Huntsville, Tex: For 25 tense minutes early 5/23, convicted killer Howard Stickney stood looking at the electric chair while his attorneys tried desperately to postpone his date with death for the 16th time. At 12:26 A.M. 5/23, Stickney was strapped into the chair. He made no last statement. At 12:30 A.M Dr. Lee Hartman, the prison doctor, pronounced him dead.
