He is questioned in her murder

At left above is a photo of Mrs. Gladys Taylor Hellenbeck Crossley, 41-year-old divorcee, whose battered body was found in Tower Park Grove, St. Louis, last Saturday morning. She had been criminally attacked and apparently trampled to death. The inscription on the photo refers to her nickname "Tubby." At right is Leonard M. Bayless, 21-year-old hardware stock clerk, married and the father of two daughters, who is held for questioning in connection with the case.
