Iron Curtain entry in "Miss Universe" contest

Alicja Bobrowska (above), of Krakow, Poland, will be the first delegate from behind the Iron Curtain to vie for the "Miss Universe" beauty title in Long Beach next summer. A honey blonde, the 21-year-old drama student is five feet, five inches tall and her measurements in the usual direction are 35-23-35. She will tour the U.S. for three weeks before the pageant opens.
